Welcome

Our club is located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. The club formed in 2002 with emphasis on the German Shepherd breed and those who are passionate about the German Shepherd Dog. We are a Regional Affiliate of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, which is a member of the American Kennel Club. We are a friendly, open group who enjoy a wide variety of activities with our German Shepherds while educating and giving back to our communities through several events. We would love to have you join us for our monthly meetings and become an important part of our growing club.

Our goal is to promote the purebred German Shepherd Dog as described in the American Kennel Club Standard. The German Shepherd Dog is a breed of versatility suitable for show, obedience, tracking, herding, agility, search and rescue, police work, therapy work, service dog work, or companionship.

We strive to provide an atmosphere for GSD enthusiasts to meet and enjoy the company of other GSD enthusiasts. We promote and educate ourselves and others on health issues in our breed. We are also concerned with political issues that impact ownership, breeding, and competing.

We are not, however, a rescue group and we do not re-home dogs.  If you have a GSD you can no longer keep, please refer back to the breeder from whom you bought the dog, or search for a GSD Rescue group.
